Faces Of Fashion
Over the last few years, the fashion industry has been evolving and has begun to incorporate more unique individuals with different ethnicities, genders, disabilities, sizes, and conditions to be more inclusive. In this body of work, I took pieces of famous models in today’s world and iconic models from the past, such as: Halima Aden, Madeline Stuart, Diandra Forrest, Winnie Harlow, Marilyn Monroe, and Twiggy, and created these facial collages. The collage implies that there are diverse people finally being represented in this industry, while the misalignment of pieces and deliberate white space in the background represent the incompleteness of this issue. Though the fashion industry is evolving to be more inclusive, there is still much progress to be made.
